Do you need anesthesia for breast piercing?

Breast piercing is done with local anesthetic. Breast puncture is an invasive test that is usually done when there is a suspicion of a breast lump or nodule considering a malignant tumor. With the help of breast puncture, a small amount of tissue is taken and sent for examination to help confirm whether it is a malignant tumor of the breast or a common benign change. Ultrasound is needed to localize the lesion nodes in the breast before puncture. After disinfection, some lidocaine local anesthetic is injected into the breast skin and around the node. After the local infiltration anesthesia is completed, the lump in the breast is punctured precisely using a fine needle or a coarse needle, and then pathologically examined. The skin of the breast should be cleaned before breast puncture, and no medication should be applied. After the puncture, it is important to stop the bleeding with hand pressure for about 30 minutes, and after resting for one hour, the patient can leave without discomfort.
