Postoperative rehabilitation of the extensor tendons of the fingers

Postoperative rehabilitation of extensor tendon can be carried out according to the early, medium and late stages of rehabilitation, common training methods of joint mobilization training and muscle strength training. 1. Early rehabilitation: it can be started under the splint or plaster fixation, mainly through elevating the affected side of the upper limb, non-fixed joint active movement, to eliminate edema and prevent muscle atrophy. 2. Intermediate rehabilitation: after the immobilization is lifted, the passive movement of wrist flexion and extension, radial-ulnar deviation, circular rotation and passive flexion and extension of interphalangeal joints can be carried out to improve the range of motion of the joints and to prevent contracture of the joints. 3. Posterior rehabilitation: mainly focusing on active exercise and resistance exercise, the patient can perform resistance training of wrist flexion and extension, radial-ulnar deviation, and circular rotation, as well as resistance training of flexion and extension of the finger joints, the use of rubber bands for gripping and various hand function training, and the use of grip balls and grip strength devices to increase strength. It is recommended that patients should seek medical treatment in time, under the guidance of the doctor’s rehabilitation training, in order to avoid delaying the condition.
