Headache and vomiting can be treated with symptomatic pain medications, such as ibuprofen, indomethacin, naproxen, and in severe cases, pindocaine and prednisone, while the cause of the disease should be sought and treated accordingly. Common diseases that cause headache and vomiting include cranial tumors and cerebrovascular diseases, mainly seen in cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction and subarachnoid hemorrhage, and can also occur in severe encephalitis and meningitis, and some of these symptoms can also occur if the patient has intracranial parasitic infections. If the headache is caused by primary headache disease, the main treatment is symptomatic pain relief. In mild cases of migraine, patients can take oral ibuprofen, indomethacin and naproxen, and in severe cases, zolmitriptan and sumatriptan can be used. Metoclopramide, vitamin B6, or prochlorperazine may also be applied for antiemetic treatment if the patient is vomiting severely.
