The incidence of esophageal cancer basically does not differ greatly among seasons. Its incidence rate is mainly related to factors such as geographical distribution, age and gender, dietary habits and heredity. Esophageal cancer is highly prevalent in the border area of Henan, Hebei and Shanxi provinces in the southern section of Taihang Mountains, which can reach 32/100,000 people. In addition, there are also concentrated high incidence areas in Shandong, Hubei and Xinjiang. Esophageal cancer is more common in males than females, with a male to female ratio of 1.3:1 to 2.7:1. The age of onset is over 40 years old, with the highest incidence rate in the age group of 60-64 years old. Unhealthy dietary habits such as smoking and drinking, too hard, too fast and too hot food will increase the probability of developing esophageal cancer. If diagnosed with esophageal cancer, one should seek medical treatment promptly and actively cooperate with doctors to avoid delaying the condition. It is advisable to have a light diet on weekdays, not to be partial to food, to eat less and more often, and to keep an optimistic mindset.
