What to do if you have metal on your clothes for an MRI

When having an MRI, if there is metal on your clothes you should change them to clothes without metal. You should not bring metal substances into the MRI examination room, in order to avoid the strong magnetic force generated by the MRI to suck the metal substances into the machine, or affect the examination results. MRI mainly utilizes a strong external magnetic field and hydrogen nuclei in the human body to produce magnetic resonance phenomenon when specific radio frequency pulses are applied, and ultimately, it is a kind of inspection method through professional equipment for imaging, which can be used for the inspection of various parts of the whole body. Those who have a pacemaker, a bone fracture fixed with a steel nail, a cardiac stent, a replaced heart valve, a stent in the skull, or a birth control device in the uterine adnexa are not permitted to enter the MRI room. It is also necessary to remove metal objects outside the body (dentures, necklaces, watches, belts, etc.) before entering the MRI room. If there is metal on your clothes you should change them to clothes without metal.
