The staging of colorectal cancer is mostly TNM staging. After treatment, the five-year survival rate of patients with Stage I is about 90%; Stage II is about 70%~80%; Stage III is about 40%~60%; and Stage IV is 5%~10%. Colorectal cancer is a common malignant tumor of the digestive tract, which can be caused by heredity, gene mutation and other factors. According to the development of the tumor, the degree of lymph node metastasis, and whether distant metastasis occurs, i.e. TNM staging, the disease can be divided into four stages. The treatment after diagnosis is a comprehensive treatment based on surgical resection. Stage I is the case where the tumor invades the submucosal layer without lymph nodes and distant metastasis, and the five-year survival rate is about 90% after treatment; Stage II is the case where the tumor invades the plasma membrane layer without lymph nodes and distant metastasis occurring, and the five-year survival rate of the patients is about 70%~80%. Stage III is the case of tumor invading the submucosal layer or intrinsic muscle layer, 1~3 lymph nodes metastasis, no distant metastasis, etc. The five-year survival rate is about 40%~60%; Stage IV is the occurrence of distant metastasis, and patients can obtain a five-year survival rate of about 5%~10%. Patients with colorectal cancer are recommended to consult the doctor in time and have standardized treatment under the doctor’s guidance in order to prolong the survival period.
