Huixiahuayuayu Tang can treat Qi stagnation and blood stasis (stagnation of blood due to lack of circulation of Qi) and phlegm congealment.
Huixiahuayuayu Tang is composed of Huoshan, Taoren, Safflower, Dihuang, Licorice, Platycodonopsis, Citrus aurantium, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Bupleurum Chinense, Xuanshen. It has the efficacy of promoting qi and blood circulation (promoting the flow of qi so that blood can circulate), resolving phlegm and opening the voice, and is used for treating qi stagnation and blood stasis with phlegm condensation. Symptoms include choking on drinking water and hiccups.
Sihui San can regulate qi and blood and facilitate elevation; Tao Hong Si Wu Tang is a formula for nourishing blood and activating blood circulation. The addition of Radix Panax Ginseng is meant to help Radix Rehmanniae to nourish and moisten; Platycodon Grandiflorus is a holy medicine for throat, which can elevate and lower the lung qi, and with the help of Chai Hu and Hovenia Citri Reticulatae, it can elevate and lower the qi, and lead the medicines for activating the blood circulation and eliminating the stasis of blood stasis to reach the place of disease.
