What does low platelet pressure mean

Low platelet pressure is suggestive of thrombocytopenia and leukemia, but it is not accurate to rely on this indicator alone, and it needs to be combined with other related indicators to make a clear diagnosis. Platelet pressure refers to the proportion of platelets per unit volume of peripheral blood, which is related to the number and volume of platelets, usually ranging from 0.11% to 0.28%, and exceeding or falling below this value suggests abnormality. A low value usually indicates a decrease in platelet volume in the peripheral blood and is seen in diseases such as myelodysplastic syndromes, aplastic anemia, and acute leukemia. As this indicator is usually detected by automatic blood cell analyzer, there may be instrumental errors, if other indicators are normal, only this indicator is abnormal, usually no problem. If other indicators are abnormal, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
