Those who are new crown positive, i.e. those who test positive for the nucleic acid of the new crown virus, should be placed under centralized isolation for medical observation if they are asymptomatically infected, under centralized isolation management if they are light cases, and under centralized treatment in designated hospitals if they are ordinary, heavy, or severe cases, and if they have heavy high-risk factors.
Asymptomatic infected persons are subject to centralized isolation for medical observation, during which no special treatment is required, but regular blood tests, CT imaging tests and antibody tests will be conducted. If relevant symptoms or signs subsequently appear and meet the diagnostic criteria for confirmed cases, they will then receive appropriate management according to clinical typing.
Light-type cases will be managed in centralized isolation, during which symptomatic treatment and monitoring of the condition should be done, and if the condition worsens, they should be transferred to a designated hospital for treatment. Ordinary, heavy and critical cases and cases with heavy risk factors should be treated centrally in designated hospitals, of which heavy and critical cases should be admitted to ICUs as early as possible, and patients with high-risk factors and a tendency to become seriously ill should also be admitted to ICUs for treatment.
Intensive treatment in designated hospitals generally includes antiviral treatment, immunotherapy, anticoagulation, prone position treatment, psychological intervention and Chinese medicine treatment. Heavy and critical cases require active prevention and treatment of complications, treatment of underlying diseases, prevention of secondary infections, and timely organ function support, such as respiratory support and circulatory support, on the basis of the above treatments.
Centralized isolation places as well as designated hospitals have professional medical staff who will give professional management and treatment according to the conditions of the cases. New coronavirus-positive patients should actively cooperate and receive standardized treatment under the guidance of medical staff.
