The recommended starting dose of simethicone is 0.25 mg once weekly; it is increased to 0.5 mg once weekly after 4 weeks of continuous use, and the dose can be adjusted to 1 mg once weekly after at least 4 weeks of use, while the specification of simethicone is 1.34 mg/ml, and there are 3 ml in each tube. Common adverse reactions during administration are symptoms of gastrointestinal irritation, such as nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting.
