What’s with the no-sex prostatitis?

The occurrence of prostatitis is generally not absolutely related to sexual life, and clinically prostatitis is divided into four categories, each of which has a different etiology. It may be related to bacterial infection, mental factors, immune factors and so on. 1. Acute bacterial prostatitis: most of them are infected by pathogens, such as Escherichia coli, gonococcus and chlamydia, mycoplasma and so on. Infection usually occurs through the urethra upstream infection, bloodstream infection, urine reflux through the prostate tube and other ways. 2. Chronic bacterial prostatitis: also mainly caused by pathogen infection, but the main pathogens are staphylococcus, Escherichia coli, Corynebacterium and enterococci. It is usually a long-term recurrent lower urinary tract infection, the pathogen through the urine reflux into the prostate gland caused by the infection. It can also be caused by acute bacterial prostatitis that has not been cured. 3. Chronic pelvic pain syndrome: usually chronic non-bacterial prostatitis, the etiology is still controversial. It may be caused by other microorganisms, such as Chlamydia trachomatis, trichomonas, fungi, viruses, immunization, etc. 4. Asymptomatic prostatitis: this type may be related to psychosomatic factors, immune abnormalities, etc.. The patient has no clinical manifestations, and is often found during the examination of other diseases. Prostatitis can also be caused by other factors. When prostatitis occurs, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital in a timely manner, follow the doctor’s instructions for further examination, and carry out targeted treatment with the help of the doctor.
