After running, fast heartbeat and dizziness can be divided into physiological and pathological, which can be relieved after resting; high blood pressure needs resting and taking antihypertensive drugs such as amlodipine if necessary; cerebral ischemia needs resting and taking drugs such as flunarizine hydrochloride and aspirin; hypoglycemia can be relieved by eating foods with high sugar content, and in serious cases, intravenous glucose supplementation is needed.
1. Physiological: healthy people may be running too strenuous, resulting in transient oxygen deprivation of the brain, rapid heartbeat, dizziness and vertigo symptoms, generally can be relieved after rest.
2. Pathologic:
(1) Hypertension: hypertensive patients are prone to elevated blood pressure during strenuous exercise, causing insufficient blood supply to the brain, and the patients have symptoms such as dizziness, panic, headache, etc. Generally, they need to rest calmly, and if the blood pressure is still high after resting, the patients can take antihypertensive medicines such as amlodipine and irbesartan in accordance with the doctor’s prescription.
(2) Cerebral ischemia: when patients with cerebral ischemia are running, more blood is distributed to the limbs, and the lack of blood supply to the brain is aggravated, with symptoms of dizziness, headache, and compensatory acceleration of the heart rate, so they need to take rest in a timely manner, and take vasodilator such as flunarizine hydrochloride and nimodipine, etc. Normally, they should control the underlying diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus, and take aspirin and statin medications.
(3) Hypoglycemia: Rapid consumption of energy during running can easily cause hypoglycemia, which leads to sympathetic excitation and symptoms such as dizziness, panic, hand tremor, etc. Sugar water, cookies, chocolates and other foods can be drunk, and serious cases need to go to the hospital to replenish glucose in the vein.
If the patient’s heartbeat is too fast after running, dizziness can not be relieved, it is recommended to go to the hospital, clear reasons, active treatment, drugs need to be taken under the guidance of a physician.
