Considerations for follow-up of patients after coronary intervention (stent)

  Our Coronary Heart Disease Clinic has become a regular specialty clinic that provides medical guidance and treatment for patients requiring interventional therapy and post-interventional patients. At present, more than 200 patients visit our special clinic every week, and we would like to update the notes again. We have printed a special follow-up booklet for post-interventional patients, which will be distributed to each patient in the next few days, so that everyone will have a clearer idea of the significance of follow-up visits for coronary artery disease. I. After the stent implantation, patients with coronary heart disease should visit the hospital for follow-up visits on a regular basis to observe the efficacy of the treatment and to guide patients on medication, diet and exercise precautions. The follow-up period is one year, and the time points are 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 1 year after the operation. Then annual follow-up visits.  During the above follow-up period, each patient will be followed up at the first month after surgery (to observe whether there are any symptoms, whether the laboratory indexes are normal, and to guide the medication), once at 3 and 6 months after surgery (to observe how the medication treats each index), and three times at 9 months after surgery (to stop certain medications and to observe the treatment of each index). At 12 months (one year) after surgery, individual patients may choose to come for follow-up visits according to the doctor’s orders.  At the first visit, please bring the materials of your treatment in the hospital, such as coronary artery treatment film, coronary intervention follow-up manual, hospitalization summary, medication list, results of continuous blood pressure measurement, etc.  Second, for patients in Dalian city, please go to the outpatient cardiology clinic of the Second Cardiovascular Hospital one day in advance for laboratory tests and electrocardiogram. Fast in the morning and have your blood drawn in the laboratory by 9:30 a.m. The results will be available at 3 p.m. The next day or at a time of your choice, go to the outpatient clinic of the Second Department of Coronary Cardiovascular Disease Hospital and choose a doctor (see the instructions for specialist visits on the homepage).  Laboratory tests: 1. blood routine, 2. high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (first visit) 3. blood biochemistry: CK, ALT, AST, Glu, Cr, UA, Chol, TG, HDL, LDL, LP(a), ApoA, ApoB, (all are written in the manual) 4. electrocardiogram (first visit) 4. foreign patients: patients from Jinzhou area come to our hospital development zone in advance Three departments for laboratory tests. Patients from Lushun, Zhuanghe, Pulandian and Wafangdian should go to our coronary outpatient clinic with the test results after the examination at the local hospital. outpatient clinic for examination and get the examination information before going to the special coronary clinic for further diagnosis.
