Tailbone pain in women is not always a precursor to cervical cancer. Instead, tailbone pain usually refers to lumbosacral pain, which can be caused by gynecological diseases or surgical diseases and other diseases.
1.Gynecological diseases:
(1) Gynecological inflammation: when a woman suffers from pelvic inflammatory disease, she may have pain in the lower abdomen and lumbosacral area, and it is also accompanied by increased vaginal secretion.
(2) Pelvic tumors: fibroids in the posterior wall of the uterus will compress the sacrum and cause pain; ovarian tumors and pelvic endometriosis will also cause lumbosacral pain, which will be aggravated by exertion or sexual intercourse.
(3) Precursors of cervical cancer: the earliest will be contact bleeding, abundant vaginal discharge with bad smell, gynecological examination may find that there are localized cauliflower-like swellings in the cervix, and cervical cancer in advanced stage will invade the coccyx and cause lumbosacral pain.
2. Surgical diseases: such as dislocation of coccyx, local infection, coccygeal tumor disease causing destruction of coccygeal bone, which can also cause pain in coccyx.
Women should pay attention to personal hygiene, do well in cervical cancer screening, such as human papilloma virus typing test, cervical liquid-based cytology test, etc., and actively consult the doctor when they find any abnormality or have pain in lower abdomen and lumbosacral region, and consult the surgeon when necessary, so that the doctor will give relevant examination to make clear the cause of the disease and provide targeted treatment.
