Is there an over-the-counter kidney tonic?

There are two common types of over-the-counter medicines for tonifying the kidneys, Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (六味地黄丸) which tonifies the yin essence of the kidneys and Jin Gui Ren Qi Wan (金匮肾氣丸) which tonifies the yang energy of the kidneys.
Liu Wei Di Huang Wan consists of Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Rhizoma Coptidis, Rhizoma Coptidis, Rhizoma Zedoariae, Mudanpi, Poria, and can be used for treating kidney yin-essence insufficiency such as lumbar and knee soreness and tenderness, dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, deafness, dreaming of spermatozoa, five heartburns and heat (heat in the hearts of the hands and the feet, and self-awareness of heartburn and chest heat), a red tongue with little moss, and a fine, numb pulse.
Adverse effects and contraindications of the drug are not known. Avoid spicy food. It is not advisable to take cold and flu medicines while taking the medicine.
Jin Guo Kidney Qi Pill is composed of Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Poria, Mudanpi, Zedoaria, Gui Zhi, Radix Polygoni Multiflori (Scorched), Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae (Removed), Psyllium Heterophyllum (Salt Plantago ovatae) and can be used to treat renal yang insufficiency such as lumbar and leg weakness and weakness, coldness of the lower limbs, impotence and premature ejaculation, dysuria, faint and fat tongue, and weak pulse.
The adverse effects of the drug are not clear. Pregnant women are contraindicated. Avoid room lust and gas. Avoid eating cold food.
