General treatment measures to relieve itching

  1.Avoid factors that increase skin dryness, such as dry environment, heat (such as sauna), alcohol compresses, ice packs, excessive frequent bathing.  2.Avoid contact with irritating substances (such as Levanon, chamomile, tea tree oil dressing, etc.).  3.Avoid the use of excessive heat and spicy food, large amounts of hot drinks and alcohol.  4.Avoid excessive excitement and stress.  5.Use mild, non-alkaline soaps, moisturizing baths and bath oils.  6.Use slightly warm water, bathing time not more than 20 minutes. Use skin care products immediately after bathing according to your skin type.  7, if there is a primary skin disease: do not rub the skin when drying, because this will make the already damaged skin peel and cause further damage.  8.Use hydrating skin care products for daily moisturizing according to your skin condition.  9, wear adequate, soft, loose clothing, such as cotton (no wool, no chemical fiber).  10.If atopic: avoid house dust or dust mites, they aggravate itching.  11.To relieve short-term itching / night itching: use containing urea, camphor, menthol, polydocanol, ellagic acid, moisturizer or concentrated coolant, cool bath.  12. Use appropriate methods that block the itch-scratch-cycle to combat itching, e.g., use cold water wet compresses, light therapy. Scratching does not help.  13, distraction, a good caregiver will do half the work, especially for children.  14, relaxation exercises, relaxation therapy, avoid stress, create a good psychosocial environment.
