Geriatric winter pruritus

  Mostly due to skin aging and atrophy, sebaceous glands and sweat glands secretion function of the reduced water content of the skin, lack of sebum moisturizing, easily stimulated by the surrounding environmental factors triggered by the cause.  The main manifestation is itching, which is aggravated at night. Due to scratching, scratch marks, blood scabs, pigmentation and mossy changes may appear on the skin, and in severe cases, skin infection may occur.  In severe cases, oral antihistamines (such as paracetamol, etc.) or tricyclic antidepressants (such as Doxepin, etc.) can be taken.  The condition can be bath therapy. Such as: (1) bran bath: wheat bran or rice bran 1000g ~ 1500g, add water and boil for 15 minutes, filtered and poured into the bath directly wash with. (2) starch bath: starch or 250g ~ 500g, add water and boil, put into the bath tub for bathing.
