Bromeliad, the dried flower of Bromeliad, family Bromeliaceae. It has the medicinal effects of invigorating blood circulation, dispelling wind and relieving pain, detoxifying and killing insects.
Fenghuanghua has a sweet, slightly bitter flavor, warm nature, and belongs to the kidney meridian. Fenghuang can activate blood circulation, dispel blood stasis and relieve pain, and can be used to treat diseases caused by blood stasis, such as menstrual disorders, amenorrhea, menstrual pain, postpartum blood stasis, pain in the abdomen, etc. It can also treat bruises and injuries. Fenghuang can dispel wind, remove dampness and relieve pain, clinically used in the treatment of rheumatic paralysis.
When used to detoxify and kill insects, Fenghuang can also treat furuncle (a skin disease, referring to severe furuncle), carbuncle, ringworm, goose pimples and so on.
