Can a nasal septal perforation be operated on?

Patient: Nasal septum perforation: My mother, 65 years old, is an acute person who used to suffer from rhinitis and nasal itching and nose digging, resulting in nasal septum perforation for many years, and now the diameter of the hole is about 2.5cm*1cm, so she often has nosebleeds and sometimes severe anemia due to excessive blood loss, especially when the weather changes, seasonal changes, and fires are easy to have nosebleeds. She has taken medication but with little success. She has also used laser to spot blood vessels, but soon she still had nosebleeds, and they became even more severe. In my mother’s words, as long as she can stop nosebleeds, she can do without her nose. Wang Hongtian, Department of Otolaryngology, Beijing 301 Hospital: Surgery is possible. Recently, we have repaired several patients with nasal septal perforation using the sandwich method with very good results. I dare not guarantee 100% repair, but I will do my best.
