The most typical symptoms of 3-month cerebral palsy mainly include lagging behind in motor development, limb movement disorders, abnormal muscle tone and posture, and feeding difficulties.
1. Motor disorders: Children with cerebral palsy lag behind in their motor development, and their head lifting and turning movements are later than normal children.
2. Dystonia: Dystonia is categorized into hypertonia and hypotonia. Hypertonia is characterized by spasticity, such as cross-leggedness and angular dorsiflexion. Hypotonia is characterized by floppiness of the paralyzed limb.
3. Postural abnormalities: Children with cerebral palsy may have abnormal trunk and limb postures due to abnormal muscle tone and abnormal reflexes.
4. Difficulty in feeding: It is mainly manifested as difficulty in sucking, easy to cry and irritability.
It is recommended that children with cerebral palsy should seek prompt medical attention to confirm the diagnosis and start rehabilitation training as early as possible in order to obtain a better long-term prognosis.
