Precautions for febrile convulsions

Fever and febrile convulsions are not uncommon and are often seen in children between the ages of half and three who are relatively “strong”. It is important for parents to remain calm during a seizure, and not to do things that are wrong, such as pinching, prying open the mouth, stuffing things into the mouth, or limiting the child’s shaking. These wrong methods not only can not help the child, but also can cause other injuries, such as trauma, dental damage, aggravate the child’s limb damage, and even cause choking. The correct treatment: 1. First, let the child lie on his side on the floor, which is to prevent vomit from entering the respiratory tract and causing asphyxiation; 2. Then put the child’s head up and take away sharp objects such as glasses; 3. Loosen the child’s collar and clothes, do not let him be restrained; 4. Timekeeping (very important, this will be important data for the doctor to assess the condition); most parents cannot do this due to panic; 5. Do not pick up the child; 6. Wait until the seizure is over before providing other help.
