Mixed hepatocellular carcinoma-cholangiocarcinoma refers to the presence of malignant tumor cells originated from hepatocytes and intrahepatic bile duct epithelium in the same tumor nodal lesion in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
Hepatocellular carcinoma is a kind of liver malignant tumor disease with relatively high incidence rate, and its etiology and pathogenesis have not been completely clarified for the time being. Hepatocellular carcinoma originates from hepatocytes and intrahepatic bile duct cells, and it can be classified into hepatocellular, hepatic bile duct, and mixed types according to the different origins of the tumor cells, among which, mixed hepatocellular carcinoma-cholangiocarcinoma refers to the mixed type.
Regardless of which type of liver cancer one suffers from, he/she needs to deeply understand the seriousness of the disease, make a clear diagnosis of the disease through comprehensive and scientific examination in a timely manner, and cooperate with doctors to use individualized treatment plans suitable for himself/herself, rather than making blind decisions by himself/herself, so as to avoid delaying or aggravating the disease.
