When pain occurs in an open wound, medication should be given for pain management. If there is mild or moderate pain in the wound, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can be given first for pain management, commonly used medications such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen or nimesulide. If the pain is very severe to moderate or severe pain, central analgesics such as craniostatin, tramadol or diazoxide must be applied, even to the point of injecting drugs such as dulcolax or morphine. In addition, the wound must be observed for inflammation and infection, if there is inflammation and infection, such as obvious redness, swelling, heat, pain around the wound, or even inflammatory secretions, the wound must be strictly disinfected and then wet compresses with iodine povidone must be applied. If there is abscess formation, the wound must be partially dissected and opened to drain the abscess to relieve the pain.
