Chicken skin, also known as perifollicular keratosis, usually does not require special treatment. In severe cases, vitamin A, vitamin E, or isotretinoin can be taken, but they cannot cure the disease, only relieve the symptoms.
1. Vitamin A: Vitamin drugs, can treat vitamin A deficiency, such as night blindness, dry eye, corneal softening and skin roughness. Recommended dosage without adverse effects, overdose will cause poisoning or even death; chronic renal failure with caution, hypercalcemia, hyperphosphatemia, with renal rickets is prohibited.
2. Vitamin E: used for echinococcosis, malabsorption syndrome, also used for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and habitual abortion, infertility adjuvant therapy. Large doses can cause blurred vision, breast enlargement, diarrhea and dizziness. Allergic to the drug is prohibited.
3. Isotretinoin: used for acne and other skin diseases, adverse reactions by dry skin mucous membranes, weight loss, edema, bleeding gums, nausea and other symptoms. It is prohibited for those who are allergic to the components of the drug; prohibited for use in women who are pregnant or about to become pregnant and breastfeeding women; prohibited for those with hepatic or renal insufficiency; prohibited for patients with vitamin A overdose.
