Rehabilitation training and education are the most effective methods to improve the core symptoms and social skills of children with autism, and are the treatment options on which scholars at home and abroad have reached consensus. The most used in clinical practice are positive reinforcement, chain-link and shaping methods. In the process of training, the target behavior can be broken down into many small steps, so that the child can learn each small step and then chain them together to master the whole target behavior. The child can be helped to master a behavior that is related to or close to the target behavior, and after the behavior is mastered, the child can be helped to find another behavior that is closer to the target behavior until the child learns the target behavior. In the process of using the above-mentioned shaping method or chain-link method, positive reinforcement should be given continuously, such as rewarding the child with candy, cookies, watching TV, and going out for activities when he or she does a certain action or behavior well.
