Do you need to take antihypertensive medication for unstable blood pressure?

Unstable blood pressure usually does not need to take medication, when high blood pressure grade 2 or above and have high risk factors need to take antihypertensive drugs.
Grade 2 hypertension refers to systolic blood pressure greater than 160mmHg, diastolic blood pressure greater than 100mmHg. Hypertension combined with diabetes mellitus, or patients with heart, brain, kidney target organ damage or complications also need to choose the appropriate antihypertensive medication according to the guidance of the doctor.
Commonly used antihypertensive drugs include beta-blockers such as propranolol and labetalol; diuretics such as furosemide and spironolactone; ACEIs such as captopril and enalapril; and calcium antagonists such as nifedipine. Blood pressure instability should be consulted with a doctor for a definitive diagnosis. The use of medication should be in accordance with the doctor’s instructions, and should not be used blindly, in order to avoid the occurrence of adverse reactions.
