Both Huanglianxin Tablets and Xianglian Tablets can be used for enteritis and bacterial dysentery. However, the indications, efficacy, contraindications and adverse reactions are different. 1. Indications: Huanglianxin Tablets are suitable for red-white dysentery (increased stool frequency, mucus and pus and blood in the feces) caused by damp-heat in the large intestine (the large intestine feels damp-heat evil), anxiousness and heaviness (discomfort in the lower abdomen, wanting to relieve the bowels, and a feeling of incomplete defecation after defecation), burning anus and other symptoms. Xianglian Tablet is indicated for symptoms such as heaviness in the bowels, pus and blood in the stool, fever and abdominal pain caused by damp-heat in the large intestine. 2. Efficacy: Lianxian Tablet has the efficacy of clearing heat and drying dampness (removing heat and drying dampness), promoting qi and relieving pain (relieving pain by regulating the body’s qi), stopping dysentery and stopping diarrhea. Xianglian Tablet has the efficacy of clearing heat and dampness, promoting circulation of Qi and relieving pain. 3. Contraindications: Xianglian Tablets are contraindicated in patients with hemolytic anemia and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. The contraindications of Xianglian Tablets are not clear. 4. Adverse reactions: Xanthin Tablets may occasionally cause nausea, vomiting, skin rash and other symptoms. The adverse reactions of Xianglian Tablet are not clear.
