Which works better, a stent or a bypass?

Cardiac bypass and stenting are applicable to different stages of coronary heart disease and different patients, and it is not possible to make a purely good or bad judgment. Cardiac stenting is mainly used to treat coronary artery disease. This procedure is mainly a minimally invasive way to dilate the atherosclerotic area and then implant a stent to ensure smooth blood flow through the coronary arteries; this method only requires a puncture of the femoral or radial arteries, which is usually less traumatizing and results in a quicker recovery. However, patients with diffuse stenosis of the coronary vessels in the heart area, or multiple parts of the stenosis, which requires the use of more than four stents or is not suitable for stenting, then they need to undergo cardiac bypass surgery. Cardiac bypass surgery has a very good effect on improving coronary heart disease, but this surgery is more traumatic and slower to recover. Patients should choose a regular hospital and have a suitable treatment plan formulated by the doctor according to their condition.
