Cervical laxity is treated differently depending on the degree of laxity and the state in which the patient is located. There are many causes of cervical laxity, the common ones being congenital isthmus dysplasia, one of the complications of uterine malformation and, to a lesser extent, the sequelae of cervical tearing from acquired birth injuries. Looseness of the endocervix can be treated with medication, which will promote tension in the uterine tube and will not have any abnormal effects on any future fertility, and the pregnancy can still continue later. If a woman has a loose cervical opening during pregnancy, it can easily cause miscarriage or premature birth and is something that needs to be treated aggressively. This can be done with medication or surgery. Medications that increase the tension of the uterine ducts will, of course, have no effect on subsequent pregnancies and births. However, medication is not 100% effective. If medication is not effective, surgical treatment can be used: an annuloplasty. The surgery is performed to strengthen the weak cervix by stitching it up. However, there are indications for surgical treatment. Only those who meet the indications can take surgical treatment. It must be treated under the guidance of a doctor in a reasonable and standardized manner. Therefore, it is important to seek medical attention in a timely manner in case of a loose cervical opening and even more so if you are in a pregnant state.
