Fetal buds of 8mm are usually 7-8 weeks of pregnancy. The clinical gestational week of pregnancy is counted from the first day of the last menstrual period. In early pregnancy, the length of the embryo is equal to the number of days since menopause (i.e., the clinical gestational week) minus 44. Therefore, an 8-mm embryo would be around 52 days of gestation, i.e., 7-8 weeks of gestation. The appearance of the fetal heart in the germ should be noted during this period. If there is a delay in seeing the fetal heart, the possibility of embryonic arrest should be ruled out. As the embryo is still in the early stage of development, it is easily affected by the stimulation of external adverse factors, such as tiredness, staying up late, improper diet, sex, etc., and is prone to vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain and lumbago and other symptoms of preeclampsia, so it should be followed up closely and the obstetric ultrasound should be rechecked in regular obstetric checkups.
