What is the disease of allergy to sunlight

Allergy to sunlight is a clinical condition in which the patient is allergic to ultraviolet light. Such patients often have a localized papular rash or a pimple-like tissue on the exposed skin. In some cases, blistering and oozing may also occur. In clinical practice, it is recommended to avoid sun exposure as much as possible, and to wear hats, glasses, masks, and long-sleeved clothing when going out. The application of antihistamines or glucocorticosteroids can provide some relief, but they do not prevent recurrence. In addition, if the patient has repeated UV allergies, it can lead to significant hypertrophy and hyperplasia of the local skin.
