The Li Gou point is located five inches straight up from the tip of the inner ankle, in the center of the inner side of the tibia. The Li Gou point belongs to the Foot Syncopal Liver Meridian and is located on the inner side of the lower leg, 5 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, in the center of the inner side of the shin bone. Li Gou acupoint has the effects of dredging the liver and regulating qi, regulating menstruation and stopping leucorrhoea (regulating menstruation and reducing abnormally increased leucorrhoea), and can be used for treating dysuria (unruly urination), swelling and pain in the inner ankle, hernia, enuresis, irregular menstruation, aberrant leucorrhoea (abnormal leucorrhoea with blood or clots in it), and vulvar itchiness. If you need to use Li Gou acupoints for treatment, you should go to a regular hospital in time, and be operated by a physician after diagnosis; you should not do acupuncture or moxibustion on your own, in order to avoid damaging the local skin or aggravating the original condition.
