Permanent teeth growing next to the nose can be considered as overcrowded teeth causing ectopic eruption, which can be observed first, treated with orthodontic treatment or extracted directly.
1. Observation: If the permanent teeth are growing next to the nose, but the other permanent teeth in the mouth have not been replaced, you can consider observing on your own first, and the permanent teeth may grow back to their normal position by themselves.
2. Orthodontic treatment: If permanent teeth grow next to the nose, most of them are caused by malocclusion such as underdevelopment of maxillary alveolar bone or overcrowding of maxillary teeth, you can go to the orthodontics department of the hospital and ask the doctor to take a panoramic film and a lateral film, and take a model of the mouth to analyze it with the patient’s front and side photographs and other image data, and then pull them to the normal and ideal position by means of orthodontic treatment.
3. Direct extraction: If the tooth is in a high position and there is no obvious malocclusion in the other teeth of the mouth, you can consider taking a panoramic film and analyzing it, and then extract the tooth directly after anesthesia to prevent the tooth lesion from transforming into a cyst containing teeth.
