How to reduce swelling in a bruised and swollen mouth

Bruising and swelling of the mouth is usually related to trauma, granulomatous lipitis, angioneurotic edema and other factors, and should be combined with the causative factors to take general treatment, drug treatment.
1. Trauma: contusion, bruise, abrasion and other conditions occurring on the lips may cause bruising, hematoma, due to the rupture of small blood vessels in the lips. If it is a relatively small wound, you can directly scrub with povidone-iodine, topical mupirocin ointment, appropriate ice compresses within 24 hours, and then appropriate heat compresses after 24 hours. If it is a larger wound, need to do as soon as possible to clear the wound treatment, and then local suture.
2. Granulomatous Lipitis: It is a kind of hypertrophic edema that occurs at the mouth, and the affected area will be flushed or dark red. The causative factors should be removed as soon as possible after the diagnosis is confirmed. Hydrocortisone acetate ointment can be applied locally, and systemic treatment, such as oral dexamethasone, can be performed in severe cases.
3. Angioneurotic edema: that is, giant urticaria, which may appear on the lips, resulting in localized bruising and edema. Oral vitamin C, loratadine and cetirizine are recommended. If it belongs to the acute stage, then inject epinephrine.
Bruising and swelling in the mouth should also be considered as a result of thrombocytopenia. It is recommended to consult a doctor and analyze the cause through professional examination before treatment.
