In case of urinary stones with hydronephrosis, a comprehensive decision on how to treat them should be made according to the size, location and degree of hydronephrosis of the stones. Firstly, if the stone is less than 1cm in the ureter with mild hydronephrosis, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy treatment is recommended. After the treatment, regular review at the hospital and oral lithotripsy medication, such as urinary stone pills or lithotripsy granules, are recommended to promote the discharge of stones. The kidneys should be treated with appropriate activities, and the interval should be about 1 week for review in the hospital to observe whether the stones have been discharged or whether the fluid has been relieved. Secondly, if the kidney stone is larger than 2cm with moderate or above effusion, hospitalization is recommended for surgical treatment. Treatment such as holmium laser lithotripsy by percutaneous nephrolithoscopy or holmium laser lithotripsy by ureteroscopy will be performed to remove the stones from the body. Then the fluid in the kidney can be drained through a ureteral stent tube to restore it to normal. Thirdly, if the ureteral stone >1cm is accompanied by moderate or above hydronephrosis, then inpatient surgery is recommended to remove the stone and drain the hydronephrosis through ureteroscopic Holmium laser lithotripsy to achieve the purpose of health recovery.
