Is it normal to have lymph nodes on the lungs?

The presence of lymph nodes on the lungs is a normal physiological anatomical phenomenon, but normal lymph nodes are usually below 1 cm and are not easily detected by CT imaging. The enlarged lymph nodes in the lungs are found by CT and other imaging, mainly due to diseases, such as pneumonia, tuberculosis, and lung cancer, etc. Especially malignant tumors can cause tumor-like degeneration of the local lymph nodes, further leading to enlarged lymph nodes. By puncturing the swollen lymph nodes and taking their tissues for pathological examination, the cause of the swollen lymph nodes can be clarified and the direction of treatment can be guided. For swollen lymph nodes in the lung, treatment should be standardized under the guidance of a doctor, and surgery should be performed as soon as possible to remove the lymph nodes identified as lung cancer, while combining with radiotherapy and other means for standardized treatment.
