How to treat a hamstring injury

A hamstring injury mostly refers to ligament injuries, and commonly used treatments such as general treatment, physical therapy, medication and surgery.
Rest and braking. Immediately apply cold compresses until the swelling subsides, apply pressure bandage and elevate the affected limb. Commonly used medications such as analgesics such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Surgery, such as arthroscopic minimally invasive surgery, is recommended for those with severe damage and high demands on joint function and stability.
In general, mild injuries can be treated with symptomatic treatment, and most of them do not need to be braked, and can resume activities after a few days of rest after the injury. For moderate injuries, most of the above conservative treatments can speed up the recovery of the injured ligaments. Severe injuries usually require surgical repair or reconstruction. Rehabilitation training during the treatment process can facilitate recovery.
It is recommended to go to the hospital in time for standardized treatment of hamstring injuries. The above drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor.
