What are the dangers of a woman’s IUD?

The IUD refers to the birth control ring, and girls may experience increased secretions, vaginal bleeding, lumbago and lower abdominal pain, prolonged menstrual cycle and other hazards after using the IUD.

1. Increased secretion: If the IUD with a tailed wire is used, it may cause increased cervical secretion, and some patients have abdominal pain or generalized fever and other discomforts in addition to increased secretion in the early stage of IUD application.

2. Vaginal bleeding: the first six months after the implantation of the IUD belongs to the adaptation period, during which uninterrupted vaginal bleeding during non-menstrual period may occur.

3. Lumbago and lower abdominal pain: the IUD may cause uterine contraction, and patients may experience mild lower abdominal or lumbosacral pain.

4. Menstrual cycle: Menstruation will be affected to some extent after IUD, especially in the first three months, it is easy to have increased menstrual flow and prolonged cycle.

If abnormal symptoms occur after IUD, patients are advised to go to the hospital for relevant examinations in time, as persistent infection may lead to endometrial inflammation.
