The most prominent clinical manifestation of chronic pulmonary heart disease is the presence of right heart failure. In addition to cough and sputum, patients may experience palpitations after activity, dyspnea, generalized weakness, and decreased work tolerance. Some patients may also have chest pain or hemoptysis, and distinct dry rales may be heard in the lungs. In patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease, the main treatment principle is to provide cardiac stimulation and diuretics to reduce the load on the heart, along with active anti-infection treatment. At the same time, asthma medications such as β2 agonists or anticholinergic drugs can be added. In case of respiratory failure, invasive or non-invasive ventilators should be used to assist ventilation.
