What kind of traditional Chinese medicine can be taken in advanced stage of bladder cancer needs physician’s guidance. For the evidence of dampness-heat and toxicity, Bazheng San is commonly used for treatment; for the evidence of yin deficiency and internal heat, Zhibai Di Huang Pill is commonly used for treatment; for the evidence of deficiency of spleen and kidney, Da Tonic Yuan Decoction is commonly used for treatment. 1. Bazheng San: It is composed of Mutong, Psyllium, Bianzhu, Rhubarb, Gardenia, Talc and other medicines, with the efficacy of clearing dampness-heat, it has the therapeutic effect on the symptoms such as dribbling and astringent pain of urine caused by dampness-heat downstream (dampness-heat evils invade intestinal tract, bladder, pubic area, lower limbs and other places). The adverse effects and contraindications of this formula are not clear. 2. Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan (知柏地黄丸): composed of Zhi Mu (知母), Huang Bai (黄柏), Shan Yao (山药), Shan Zhu (山茱萸), Ze Xie (泽泻), and Poria (茯苓). It has the efficacy of nourishing yin and lowering fire (nourishing the yin essence and lowering the fire), and is effective for the treatment of symptoms such as dysuria (irregular urination) caused by deficiency of yin and internal heat and heartburn and insomnia. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this product are not clear. 3. Da Tian Yuan Decoction: composed of ginseng, licorice, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum and Cortex Eucommiae, it is effective in tonifying spleen and kidney, and has therapeutic effect on symptoms such as unfavorable urination caused by deficiency of spleen and kidney, fatigue and tiredness, and mental depression. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this formula are not clear.
