Is it better to check ct or mri to see if there are parasites in the brain?

To see if there are any parasites in the brain, it is generally recommended to perform a brain MRI. CT and MRI are both common auxiliary examination methods for the head. CT is often used for the examination of some acute lesions, such as cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, etc. MRI is often used for the examination of brain tumors, cerebral infarction, cerebrovascular disease and some old hemorrhages. For brain parasites, MRI can be comprehensively analyzed based on T1, T2, DWI and other images and coronal and sagittal positions, which has more obvious advantages compared with CT. CT can also be used as a preliminary screening method for brain parasites, but since the density of the parasites may be the same or similar to the brain tissue, it is difficult for CT to distinguish them, which may lead to misdiagnosis. An MRI of the brain is recommended.
