γγAt present, there are no more than two types of treatment for cryptorchidism: 1. Hormone injection: The effect of hormone treatment is to promote the development of spermatogenic cells and to make the spermatic cord become relaxed and the testicular mobility increase, producing a limited descent effect. These effects are often unknown to parents, who can see changes such as the growth of the child’s penis and the coloring of the scrotal skin of the penis. The commonly used hormone in China is chorionic gonadotropin, with a dosage of about 10,000 units for a course of treatment, usually no more than 15,000 units. After hormone treatment, only a very small number of cryptorchidism descends into the scrotum without surgery, thus hormone treatment cannot replace surgery.γγ2.Surgical treatment: It is the most important and effective means to treat cryptorchidism, and surgery should not be done later than 2 years old, and now it is preferred to operate at a younger age. It is found that after 2 years old, the spermatogenic cells of cryptorchidism, which is not well developed, will be further damaged; moreover, the older the age, the heavier the damage. Also, the older you are, the greater the distance you need to travel down, making it more difficult to descend into the ideal position in the scrotum. The surgical procedure is to change the position of the testicles and put them into the scrotum.
