Treatment of interstitial lung disease

Treatment options for interstitial lung disease vary depending on the cause and type of the disease. Treatment options mainly include drug therapy, oxygen therapy, and surgery. 1. Interstitial pneumonia caused by autoimmune disease is mainly treated with glucocorticoids such as methylprednisolone and prednisone combined with immunosuppressants such as methotrexate and cyclophosphamide. 2. Idiopathic interstitial fibrosis can be treated with oral antifibrotic drugs such as pirfenidone and nidazepam. 3. Interstitial pneumonia caused by viral infection or mycoplasma infection requires targeted use of anti-infective drugs such as oseltamivir and azithromycin according to the pathogenic bacteria. 4. Oxygen therapy: patients with hypoxemia after activity or at rest need oxygen therapy to assist respiratory circulation, improve lung function and correct hypoxemia. 5. Surgery: For patients with end-stage interstitial pneumonia, lung transplantation is the main treatment method and an ideal way to prolong patients’ survival and improve their symptoms, but the requirements for surgery are relatively high and expensive. For patients with interstitial lung disease, it is recommended to improve the relevant examination, combined with the doctor’s opinion, according to the specific condition to choose the appropriate treatment.
