What is the definition of counterfeit medicine

Counterfeit drugs are defined as products that meet the requirements of Article 98 of the Drug Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China introduced by the state. Counterfeit drugs are defined as any of the following. 1. The ingredients contained in the drug do not conform to the ingredients specified in the national drug standard. 2. Passing off non-drugs as drugs or passing off other kinds of drugs as such drugs. 3. Drugs that have deteriorated. 4. The indicated indications or functions of the drugs are beyond the scope of the regulations. It is prohibited to use medicines produced or imported without obtaining drug approval documents; it is prohibited to use raw materials, packaging materials and containers that have not been evaluated and approved in accordance with the regulations to produce medicines. It is recommended not to use counterfeit medicines when they are found, and to report them to the relevant authorities in a timely manner.
