Amblyopia is a common disease of the eye, which can be cured with active and reasonable treatment. Amblyopia is caused by the presence of various occlusive factors in the eyes of children during the development of vision, such as strabismus in one eye, large refractive error, refractive aberration, congenital cataract, congenital corneal clouding, etc., which obscures the visual axis and causes masked amblyopia. Early detection and treatment of this disease is generally recommended, and the earlier the age of detection, the greater the chance of recovery. If treatment is started before the age of three, it is basically completely curable. However, if amblyopia is found in the eyes only after adulthood, there is no treatment available. The main methods of treatment include: first, removing the unfavorable factors, including surgery or glasses; second, masking treatment, blocking the healthy eye and forcing the amblyopic eye to see, which can promote the recovery of vision in the amblyopic eye; and third, amblyopia training.
