Efficacy of Itopride Hydrochloride Tablets

Usually, the effectiveness of Itopride Hydrochloride tablets is mainly used to treat various symptoms caused by functional dyspepsia. Symptoms that can be treated include epigastric discomfort, postprandial fullness, early satiety, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. Its components have the dual action of dopamine D2 receptor blockade and acetylcholinesterase inhibition, which enhances gastric and duodenal motility and promotes gastric emptying by stimulating the release of endogenous acetylcholine and inhibiting its hydrolysis, and has a moderate antiemetic effect. Occasional adverse reactions such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, increased salivation, headache, and sleep disturbances may occur with the use of this drug. It needs to be contraindicated in patients who are allergic to the components of this drug, presence of gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction or perforation.
