Malignant lesions may occur in patients with intramammary duct papillomas when they do not undergo surgery, but this cannot be generalized. Intramammary ductal papilloma may usually be a benign lesion due to factors such as excess estrogen, and the treatment of this disease is usually based on surgery. When the symptoms of intraductal papilloma are mild and there is no discomfort, regular observation is sufficient. However, if the patient has pain, nipple discharge and other discomforts, if the patient does not take timely surgical treatment, it may lead to malignant lesions. If intraductal papilloma has bloody or plasma nipple discharge, or if it has recently developed pain and tumor enlargement, it needs timely surgical treatment, and the main surgical method is local segmental mastectomy. Patients are advised to go to the hospital for checkups in time to avoid delaying the condition, which may lead to adverse consequences.
