There are many causes of left ventricular hypodiastolic function, including physiologic and pathologic causes, such as aging of the heart, hypertension, coronary heart disease, diabetes mellitus, and so on. 1. Physiological reasons: with age, the heart undergoes degenerative changes, resulting in the manifestation of left ventricular hypodiastolic function. 2. Pathologic causes: (1) Long-term hypertension: patients with long-term hypertension can lead to ventricular remodeling and left ventricular hypertrophy, resulting in left ventricular hypodiastolic function. (2) Coronary artery disease: patients with coronary artery disease may suffer from myocardial ischemia and hypoxia, ventricular remodeling, and thus left ventricular hypodiastolic function. (3) Diabetes mellitus: Diabetes mellitus can lead to myocardial metabolic disorders, causing myocardial fibrosis, which can also cause left ventricular hypodiastolic function. There are many other causes of left ventricular hypodiastolic dysfunction, it is recommended that such patients go to regular hospitals, consult with a professional doctor, complete the relevant examinations and treatment according to the doctor’s instructions, to avoid delaying the condition.
