Generally, there is no need to wash Danshen before powdering.
Danshen is the dried root and rhizome of Salvia miltiorrhiza, family Labiatae, and it usually needs to be concocted to remove non-medicinal parts such as soil, dust, and impurities before it is used in medicine. Cleaning before powdering danshen will instead make the drug damp and unfavorable for preservation.
Salvia miltiorrhiza has the effects of activating blood circulation and regulating menstruation (regulating menstruation by activating blood circulation), removing blood stasis and relieving pain (removing blood stasis to relieve pain), cooling blood and eliminating carbuncles (eliminating carbuncles and swellings by cooling the blood), and removing vexation and tranquilizing the mind (relieving vexation and tranquilizing the mind). Indications: irregular menstruation, amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea, postpartum abdominal pain with stasis, heart pain with blood stasis, and epigastric (abdominal) pain.
Attention, this product should not be used in conjunction with Veratrum, women with excessive menstruation and without blood stasis are forbidden to take it, pregnant women should be cautious in taking it.
If the patient has any discomfort, please go to the regular medical institutions; if you need to use Salvia divinorum, you must use the medicine under the guidance of a professional doctor.
