Can taking the Yosemite birth control pill affect an HIV test?

Eucerin, or drospirenone ethinyl estradiol tablets, does not affect HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) test results. Indications for drospirenone ethinyl estradiol tablets include female contraception and moderate acne vulgaris. Contraindications to drospirenone ethinyl estradiol tablets include hypersensitivity to the drug, diabetes mellitus with vascular complications, history of venous or arterial thrombosis, embolism, or cerebrovascular accidents, the presence of severe or multiple risk factors for thrombosis, pancreatitis associated with severe hypertriglyceridemia or a history thereof, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, the presence of malignancies influenced by sex hormones, pregnancy, and vaginal bleeding. HIV testing mainly includes HIV1/2 antibody testing, HIV nucleic acid, CD4+ T lymphocytes, HIV genotypic drug resistance testing and several other components. Among them, the gold standard for diagnosis of HIV infection is antibody test; quantitative HIV nucleic acid (viral load) test and CD4+ T lymphocyte count can be used to determine the progress of the disease, clinical use of medication, and efficacy of treatment. Contraceptives do not interfere with the HIV testing process, so there is no need to worry that taking the drug will affect the test results. It is recommended to consult a medical professional for standardized diagnosis and treatment.
